Our Weekend Scene

4.07.2014

We had a fun weekend and I actually took quite a few pictures so it needs to be documented. :)

On Saturday morning we took Emerson to the butterfly festival at a local garden. They just opened a new butterfly pavilion so they had this festival to celebrate. It was super crowded so we didn't even get to the see the butterflies, but E enjoyed it anyway.

Adelyn slept in the Boba wrap the whole time. I'm telling you, that thing is a lifesaver!
The farmer's market was right next door to the garden so we walked around there for a bit. It was fun trying out all of the samples and we even bought a few things. It wasn't a very big one but we still enjoyed it.

On Saturday night we went on a date night!! I finally bit the bullet and found a babysitter. She came highly recommended and is a fully time nanny so I felt really good about it. I even left Adelyn. I wasn't sure I was going to but I knew it would be harder to relax if we didn't. We just went to dinner so it wasn't a huge deal, but it was so nice and SO needed. Emerson loved the babysitter so we will definitely have her come again.

Sunday was a fun day at home. Sweet pea tried the Bumbo for the first time and loved it. I may have cried a little bit. I just don't understand how she's already big enough for it!

The rest of the day was spent in the pool. Emerson had a few of her little friends over and she was outside for about 6 hours. She had so much fun.

After swimming and playing all day, she was worn out. We finished the evening with some barbecue and the new Tinkerbell movie.

Oh, and some bathroom selfies. :)
