Most of my posts lately have been focused on Adelyn but we've had lots of other things going on too! Here's a little update in pictures:
We have a bit of a Frozen obsession going on right now. E has been wanting the Elsa dress forever but we couldn't find it anywhere. It was finally in stock at Target last week so we snatched it up. She's pretty much been living in it ever since. These pictures are over a course of several days. She puts it on when she wakes up and wears it most of the day.
We even had a mommy/daughter date on Saturday to see the sing along version. Since E loves her dress so much, I thought it was only fitting that she wear it to the movies.
-It's been a good week for Emerson. She also had a special date with Daddy on Tuesday. Our Chick Fil A had a daddy/daughter date night. E was so excited to get all dressed up and hang out with her favorite guy.
-Emerson is pretty obsessed with dogs. Our friends got one and after we visited she started telling everyone that we are going to get a dog soon. I sure wish we could!
-Adelyn is growing like a weed! She has already changed so much since we brought her home. She has an appointment with a pediatric dentist to have her lip tie and tongue tie checked out on Wednesday. If they think they are a problem she will have a laser procedure right then and there. They say it's super quick and easy but I'm still nervous about it. I just hope it helps with our nursing issue.
-We've been loving watching the Olympics. E has been up past her bedtime but it was worth it for her to see the ice skating. She was twirling around the room after the first skater performed. Future ice skater perhaps?
-Jesse's squadron came home from Afghanistan today. It's hard to imagine that had he not broken his leg he would just now be getting home. I'm thankful that all of the Marines made it home safely and I know their families are beyond thrilled!
-Other than that I don't have much to report. We're still slowly getting the hang of life as a family of four. I think once we get A's feeding issues figured out, things will get a bit easier. For now I feel like I am constantly trying to nurse, bottle feeding, or pumping. Luckily E has adjusted well and is getting better at playing independently. I hate that I'm not able to play with her as much but I hope that will change soon. Jesse has also been amazing and has done even more than usual to help out. He's the best and I don't know what I would do without him. I am certainly one very blessed lady!
