I want to document the rest of our hospital stay- even though it was short and uneventful I have some pictures I want to share.
We were trying to find something to put next to her to show her size:
Jesse brought a bottle of pink moscato champagne to toast our new baby girl!
That night I got about 4-5 hours of sleep. Adelyn slept pretty well but she cried out in her sleep quite a bit, which kept me awake. I still thought that amount of sleep was pretty good for the first night.
By the next morning I was already ready to bust out of that place! They told me as long as everything was looking good on Adelyn we would only have to stay 24 hours.
While we waited, we spent lots of time cuddling our precious girl. I had a visit from the lactation consultant, who was amazing! She spent over 30 minutes with us and gave me some great strategies for helping Adelyn latch.
Then it was time for another cute outfit!
Even though we are having a newborn photo session later this week, I couldn't say no to the hospital photos. I'm pretty sure they are the most ridiculously overpriced photos I've ever bought but they were too cute to pass up.
The labor and delivery ward was pretty busy that day so our discharge took much longer than expected. We had hoped to be out of there by late afternoon but it was closer to 7:00 before we were finally discharged. I used the time to take some pictures of A in her going home outfit.
Overall I felt like we had a really great experience. The hospital was so mother and baby friendly and I was really impressed with all of the nursing staff. I don't think we could have asked for anything better!
