There were times I just wasn't sure if we would finish it in time for Adelyn's arrival- especially because I was determined to DIY pretty much everything. I think I've spent pretty much every nap time for the last 8 weeks sewing or making something! It has been a true labor of love and despite it's tiny size (less than 10x10) I am absolutely in love with the results. It's so neat to see your vision finally come to life and I am so, so excited that it's finished and that I can finally share it. Now we just need that precious baby girl to make her appearance and it will truly be complete!
Despite my best efforts I don't think the colors of the paint or fabric came through exactly as they are, but I think you can get the idea. The paint really is more gray but it does look kind of beige here. You'll also see that there are many shades of pink! Pink is harder to match than you would think! :) Ok- enough rambling- here she is in all her glory:
Paint: Mindful Gray from Sherwin Williams
Dresser: local shop
Crib: hand me down from Emerson
Chair: Jenny Lund Extorp from Ikea
Pouf: DIY using this tutorial
Fabric: (valances, pillows, pouf): Carousel Designs Silver French Damask, Carousel Designs Pink French Script
Closet Curtains: Target (they cannot be found online but they are the Shabby Chic brand)
Crib Skirt: DIY using same curtains from Target
Crib Sheet: DIY using this tutorial (fabric from local quilt shop)
Window Pane: Target (it was meant to be a picture frame but I removed the second pane of glass and Jesse spray painted it white. I saw it on clearance not long after I bought it and cannot find it online.)
Fabric Wreath: DIY using this tutorial. Instead of using ribbon I used strips of fabric and lace. I tore them instead of cutting them so that it would have more of a shabby chic look.
Fabric Chandelier: DIY. I couldn't find a tutorial for this so I kind of made it up as I went.
Mirrors: Ebay, thrift stores, Home Goods, etc. Some of them are just picture frames with craft mirrors or mirrored scrapbook paper in them. They were all different colors to start with but a few coats of spray paint took care of that!
Lamp: Target with recovered lamp shade (I just hot glued a few strips of pink ruffles around it!)
Side Table: Ross
Window Seat Pad: DIY using craft foam from Joann's and covered with Carousel Designs fabric
White Hanging Shelf: Home Goods (the hooks were replaced with crystal knobs also purchased from Home Goods)
Chalk Art: Frame from Michaels, art was DIY using black foam board and hot glued to frame
And that's it! I apologize for so many pictures- I just wanted to make sure I captured all of the little details of Adelyn's sweet little room! I hope you love it as much as I do!
