-We paid our first visit to the famous San Diego Zoo. It was awesome and Emerson loved it. We went ahead and bought a membership which means we can go anytime for the rest of the year. I love that because you don't feel like you have to stay all day and try to see everything. I went with a friend and her two little ones so we only stayed for about 3 hours. Of all of the animals we saw, Emerson was most impressed the porcupine. He was asleep in his little cave so you could hardly even see him but little miss is obsessed. She keeps saying "porc uh pine again" over and over. We've resorted to watching porcupine videos on You Tube to hold her over until we can get back to the zoo.
-I tried Zumba for the first time yesterday and I LOVED it. I honestly thought that it wasn't the right workout for me but you definitely shouldn't knock it until you try it. It's so much fun and I definitely worked up a little sweat.
-This is starting to get real. Boo! :( I'm honestly ready to just get it over with.
-I went to a meet-up with my Mom's group on Monday. It was at an indoor play place. I was thinking it was going to have jumpers and things like that, but it was actually a huge climbing structure with a bunch of slides. Emerson loved it but she was a little bit too small to go through it by herself. I'm sure you can guess what that means. Momma got a double workout that day!
-Yesterday was Emerson's third gymnastics session and I feel like she's starting to get the hang of things. It's so cute watching her swing from the bar and jump on the trampoline. Since it's a parent participation class, it's really hard for me to take pictures but I hope to get some next week.
-Emerson cracks me up on a daily basis. She is really starting to listen to what we say and pay attention to what's going on around her. On Sunday we were walking to the park and I told Jesse to help her step off the curb. She stopped walking, looked at me, and said, "I'm a genius, Momma." I about died. She is such a mess.
-The house is coming together a bit more, but I still have so many projects I want to do. I figure I'll have plenty of time so I'm not in any rush, but it would probably help if I'd get off Pinterest and actually do a few of the things I've pinned.
And that's about for today. I know it probably wasn't the most interesting post you've ever read, but at least there are some cute pictures of Emerson. :)
