We shopped, ate lunch, played, and finished the trip off with ice cream.
She was moving so fast that almost all of my pictures are blurry!
While Emerson napped I got a quick workout in and then we waited for Daddy to get home. Once he was home we had birthday cake and he and E gave me flowers and a new water bottle that I've been eying forever.
I love that the card said Happy Birthday Mum. :)
Later in the evening we decided to go out for dinner. We had previously planned on getting a babysitter but decided to take Emerson with us instead. After all, what's a celebration without my baby girl?
We went out for Indian food, my favorite, and it was amazing!! I seriously ate and ate ate. And took some pictures, of course.
After we got home I was determined to get at least one good family picture in front of the tree. I set up my tripod and we had our little mini photo shoot. I also learned something very exciting. Emerson LOVES the self-timer and will look straight at the camera and smile! Yay! Now I know how to get pictures with that little munchkin.
And because my birthday cake was so good, I just had to have one more piece before bed. After all, calories don't count on your birthday. Right? Plus it was ice cream cake. I mean who can resist ice cream cake?
Jesse said I was a weirdo for taking a picture of my slice and instagramming it. I'm just surprised he's not used to it by now! :)
