Hello Monday

11.05.2012

I fully realize that most of my posts have been quite boring lately! I'm sorry guys! I have plenty of things I want to write about but when I sit down to actually do it, I just can't seem to get my act together and actually write a real post. Oh well. I guess random posts are better than no posts at all.

-We had a pretty low-key weekend. Jesse came down with a cold so we didn't get out much. We did, however, head out to pick up this.
So, yeah. I'm not really prepared AT ALL but I've decided to go ahead and go for it. If you could spare an extra prayer for me I'd really appreciate it!

And then we had dinner at Fuddruckers. Emerson loved her kids cup so much, we had to bring it home.
-I started on some embroidery projects only to realize that I don't have the right fabric for any of the projects. It looks like I'll be heading out and trying to find a fabric store tomorrow. Wish me luck!

-I've finally decided to get started on a photo book of E's first year. I've been wanting to do it forever but couldn't decide exactly how I wanted it to look. I still don't know what the overall look will be but I'm just doing it page by page. So far I'm not even to her third month and it's already 32 pages long. I've kind of accepted that it may be a multi-volume book since the page limit is 100. Anyway, it has been so much fun to look back through all of her pictures. I just sit here with a huge grin on my face thinking about all of those precious moments.

-We went to the mall near our house to look at running gear. We didn't leave with anything because it was all TOO expensive but we did let Emerson ride the train. She has become obsessed with trains lately so we thought she might enjoy it. We are definitely going to get her some kind of train for Christmas because she goes around all day saying choo choo. She even puts her little dolls in shoes and pushes them around while doing it. Silly girl!

-And one of the highlights of my weekend was grocery shopping yesterday because they had canned pumpkin!! Yay! Ok, so I know this may not sound that exciting but I've been seeing all of these amazing pumpkin recipes and I haven't been able to try any until now. I may or may not have bought 6 cans. And I am currently sipping a homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte. Our Starbucks doesn't make them so this is the next best thing. Yum!

I hope everyone had an awesome weekend!

Prayers for you on your run. I can't wait to see E's first year book. I just made a small brag book because it was free at Walgreens. Definitely needs a train for Christmas. Love you.

I'm glad I'm not the only one just getting around to doing a first year book, haha. Maybe we will finish them before they are two?!

GOOD LUCK with your run! I am always in awe of marathon runners because it is SO not my thing, but I think it's pretty amazing!

Enjoy your pumpkin desserts!

Good luck!! And we make a book every year on our anniversary. It is so fun to see how we (and the thickness of the book) has grown.

Hello! I've been reading your blog for a while now (although I can't quite remember how I stumbled upon it). But now that I finally have a blog of my own, I can step out of lurk-dom :-) and officially follow you! Your family is just darling, and I've enjoyed reading about your lives. I've recently become an expat (although not b/c of military), so I totally identify with your stories of living overseas and in a different culture very far away from family and friends. And I ESPECIALLY understand that luxury that is Libby's Pumpkin Puree- I spent about $7 a can to get that here!

Enjoy your pumpkin treats, and I'd love to have you stop by my blog if you get the chance!

Oh wow, I love the first year book idea!! I can't wait to do that!! Make sure you buy it when you can get it half off! I once bought a book like that with 100 pages at full price. What was I thinking?!

I need to start Conley's photo book...I just updated Nolan's for the months April-Oct of this year. I will say it does help that I break it down in months instead of a whole year b/c I get so overwhelmed! Good luck on your run and so glad you are getting to feed your pumpkin craving :)

Good luck with the race! I missed both my half marathons and can't wait for my next opportunity.
