-I already told you about the costume party we went to on Thursday night.
-What I forgot to tell you about is the funny thing that happened at the costume store. I was searching through all of the costumes and pretty disappointed because I thought a lot of them were really ugly. I couldn't figure out why half of them had blue shirts and leggings that didn't match at all. I kept telling Jesse that I could not find a single costume that was even halfway decent. Then I found my flapper costume hidden behind several others. Once again I noticed the weird blue shirt and bike shorts. This time I decided to take a closer look and realized that each and every costume picture had been colored on with marker to hide all of the inappropriate parts (the shoulders and the knees.) I'm sure that is the first and last time I will see costume censorship!
-I really don't think we did much of anything on Friday except for order Indian takeout. It was delicious!! I swear I could eat it every single day. Once Emerson was in bed we watched more of Homeland. We finished Season 1 last night. The finale was intense!!
-Also, we're dog-sitting this little sweetheart. We've had her for about a week now and all I can say is that Emerson is in LOVE. It's the first thing she asks for when I get her from her crib. I think she'll be heartbroken when she leaves.
-In the afternoon we hung out at the pool for quite a while. It felt so good to get some Vitamin D and Emerson had a blast, as usual.
-Our neighbors invited us to the beach for a barbecue on Saturday evening. We didn't head out until 4:30 so that we could avoid the heat. We had a great little spot and Emerson loved playing in the water. We decided to keep it as classy as possible and only dressed her in her swim diaper and water shoes. (We were pretty much the only ones there by this point so it was just easiest!) ;)
It was the perfect ending to an other wise quiet weekend.
