Hey guys! I hope everyone had a great weekend. We sure did! It's a holiday here so Jesse has been off since Friday and we have been enjoying every minute of it! I thought I would take a minute and update with a few miscellaneous (and probably boring) thoughts for today.

-It's SO hot here. I knew that when we were coming back but I just don't think anything can prepare you for it. If you are outside for more than 5 minutes you feel like you have been standing in an oven. It's miserable and I just can't wait for it to cool down.

-Emerson is already getting so antsy staying home so we've been trying to find things to do to keep her busy. She goes to the door several times a day and says outside. It's sad! We have tried taking her out really early in the morning or later in the evening but it's still in the 100's so we can't stay long. We've also been to the pool a few times. The pool in our compound is not chilled so it's basically like getting in a hot tub! But the pools at the beach club are nice and cool so we enjoyed some time there a few days ago. I'm thinking we will be taking lots of trips to the mall over the next few weeks so she can run around and get some of that energy out. We'll probably take her bike along because she is pretty much obsessed with it and riding it around the house just doesn't get the job done!

(Going down the slide for the first time with Daddy)

-We have been back home just under two weeks and I think we are finally adjusted to the time change. Emerson is back to sleeping about 12 hours a night and is taking a 2.5-3 hour nap every day. It's so much better than those 3:00 AM wake ups we were having those first few days.  It feels really good to be back onto a normal schedule.

-Ramadan is over which means that all of the stores and restaurants will be back on normal hours! It's much more fun to be out and about when you can eat and drink in public during daylight hours. It also makes shopping so much easier. Hello Starbucks!

-I am loving my embroidery machine!! It's so much fun making stuff and I have a list a mile long of things I want to make. I usually only finish about project a day though. I've had a few people ask me what kind of machine I got so I thought I'd share. It's a Brother PE770 and it can embroider up to a 5x7 area. So far it seems to be a good machine for the money. I've made some fun things over the last few days that I hope to share in another post this week.

-We found out last week that we get to take a little trip for Jesse's work next month. Although I don't look forward to getting back on a plane, I do look forward to visiting a new place. It's not somewhere I I thought I'd ever get to visit so I'm pretty excited about it. I imagine that it will be our last vacation in a foreign country for a long while so I hope we are able to make the most of it. I'll definitely be posting more about it once it gets closer and hopefully I'll be finished unpacking from this trip by the time it's time to leave. Just kidding. Or maybe I'm not!

Well I guess that is enough rambling for today! I know none of this was particularly interesting, but it's all I've got at the moment. :)

I must know where you got E's cute little bike at! It is so adorable and it has handles that you can push her? I've never seen that!

The heat just seems so horrible! I'm sure you're looking forward to the weather in Cali!

So glad E is sleeping well again, I know how exhausting it is when they don't sleep! I have the same machine and love it! And her bike is adorable!

Yikes about the heat. All I can think of is "I would hate to be pregnant in that" HA! and I thought it was hot here! At least you have AC.

We just finally have been getting a break from the heat here! Hopefully it will break soon for you all, the heat is miserable especially when you know that your little wants to go outside. I can't wait to here about where you all are going. Good luck with everything, and glad to hear she is sleeping longer. Makes for a happier Mommy, at least with me......lol

Look at her little rosy cheeks!! Bless you for even going out there...that's miserable! A game that we have been playing recently that has been a big hit is for me to put random things in a pillowcase and having Connor pull them out one by one without looking at it. He loves it!

I can't wait to see what you have been doing with your new machine!
