Who Are You?

7.13.2012

When I first started this blog, I had 4 followers and they were all family members and close friends. Over the last few years it has slowly grown to something bigger than I had ever anticipated. It's not huge by blogging standards but it has definitely grown and it has surely changed my life, as cheesy as that sounds. It's probably one of the only hobbies I've stuck to for more than a few months. Haha! :)

But seriously, blogging has become pretty important to me. It has allowed me to meet friends all over the country and learn things that I didn't even know I needed to learn. It has also helped me to share Emerson's life with everyone who loves her even when we live thousands of miles away. It's helped me to maintain friendships and to document all of the little things that I never want to forget.

In short, it's been pretty darn amazing.

And I'm not gonna lie, I love hearing that people read my blog. It's exciting to me that people actually want to read what I have to say even when I'm incredibly boring. :)

Anyway I know I'm rambling here so let me get to the point of the post:

I want to know you! My readers. The people who come back day after day to see what we are up to even if it's the most mundane thing you have ever read.

Are you one of my friends or family members? A fellow Momma? A military wife? Do we share common interests? Do you blog?

If you are a regular Little Moments Like This reader, please leave a comment telling me who you are! I love, love, love sharing our life on this little ol' blog and now I want you to share with me. Pretty please?

I found your blog one night as I was blog-hopping. I enjoy your blog because I have a daughter around the same age as yours--as well as two boys. I do blog, but not on a regular basis. I am trying to get better about that.
Nice to "meet" you :)

Your daughter is too cute and you write about real things which I love. I am a momma to a 20 month old little girl so I always love reading blogs about other little girls and their mommas. I have a blog. I'd love for you to check it out if you get a second! Thank you for sharing your life with us!

Hi Tami! I have been reading your blog for a few months now and just love hearing all about little Emerson and your time over seas. I am also a Military Wife. I started blogging for the same reason as you, to keep my family updated on what is going on with my life while I'm living away from them.

I hope you and little E have a wonderful day!

I LOVE reading your blog. I'm a fellow mom and blogger but I love reading your blog too because my step brother is in the air force and has 3 girls and even though they are now stationed in TX two of the girls were born in Germany as he was stationed there from age 18-30 something. I love seeing the different places you live!

I'm from Ontario, Canada. I love reading about your life as I don't know anyone in the military!

Hi! How cute are you? Well, I don't remember how I found your blog, but I've been reading for a while. First thing, I loved your baby name, so that made me read! My daughter was almost an Emerson! :) So then I continued reading your blog because I have a daughter a few months behind yours and I just liked what you had to say - I like true to life, real bloggers who let me know their lives aren't perfect and neither are their children! It makes me feel better as a new Momma! haha! :) Keep on blogging, girl!

I found you last summer right around when you had Emerson. My little girl is just a month younger so we have that in common!

Hello Tami! I am a fellow mom and blogger. I don't know how I found your blog BUT I am so glad that I did! I love reading all about Emerson and your life overseas. My daughter is a few months younger than Emerson so I love reading all about what E is doing so I can see what is to come for my sweet little Anistyn. I am also so glad that I found your blog because you told me where to find the best hair bows EVER! And I also love reading your blog because you are Texas girl just like me :). Keep up the great blogging!

Hi Tami! I am a fellow momma! A momma of 2 and a mommy blogger as well. E and my Wyatt are only a few weeks a part in age! I just started my blog a little after my youngest was born, mainly to document life and all the wonderful things that my kiddos do! When my sister had her son this past year she would ask me about when my first child did stuff, I couldn't remember. That's when I realized I needed a way to remember, because it all goes by way to fast!! I'm over at Themom-mediaries.blogspot.com

Thanks for sharing!!

Hi Tami. I'm a military wife and mother of three. Like you I enjoy blogging and I always enjoy reading about other Milspouse/mom's lives. You're on my blog feed so I don't often actually stop to comment but I still read your blog regularly. This post is a neat idea! Maybe I'll try something like this too.

Hello there. Fellow mommy here. I started following you when I decided to read some blogs, because she was always talking about these posts! My sister The Momme-Diaries, told me About you and the rest is history! I am now a blogger after my sister also convinced me to keep a journal about my little man online, since I am bad at remembering to write it down in his book! I love blogging and love to read about other peoples lives and experiences. I wish I had more time to meet other moms, but with my and my husbands schedule it is very limiting, so this is a great way for me to get that mom interaction! Love your blog, even you may consider mundane is great to read about and I alway love pictures! Luv BN Mom

Hey Tami! I found your blog hopping around other mom-blogs and started following because you have a daughter close to my daughter's age. I also work at a university and my sole job is to work with the military students so I have a soft spot for military families as well. :)

I'm not even sure how I found your blog... It's been a while now. I don't have any children, but we are close to that point in our lives. I really like your baby product recommendation posts, so I know I'll reference those when we get to that stage. I am also very intrigued and inspired by your lifestyle as a military wife. I don't personally know any, so this is an extremely eye-opening experience to me. Thanks for sharing!

Hi! I don't remember how I found your blog but I do remember being captivated because your daughter is so darn cute! LOL. And of course I enjoy reading whatever you're writing, it feels like I'm having a coffee or a lunch date with a girlfriend. :) I'm a fellow milspouse and we are thisclose to a PCS. I am momma to two adorable puppy dogs and just today had my last day of work here in Ohio! So I guess now I'm a stay-at-home-wife?...at least until I find a job in our new place. :)

I love when people tell me they read, too! While it's mainly for me and my terrible memory, I love the thought of connecting to people all over the world!

Such a fun idea!! It's so nice getting to really know the people that read your blog!

I've been following since you were just newly pregnant with Emerson! I found your blog through another blog, I think, and I was immediately interested because you lived in Africa at the time... and that's where I grew up :) I've loved reading your posts... I had my first baby boy in February, so it's fun to read about a mama who is a little further along this motherhood road. I love that you are honest and don't just show a "perfect" life... it's nice to know there are other real mamas out there!

Anna & Kirby said...

It's me, Anna :) I love your blog! I became interested in your life story (pregnancy, living over seas) and the fact that you're super nice and E is super cute is what got me coming back again & again.

Great idea for a post! Blogging is awesome... I'd have to agree!

Mallorie said...

I totally agree with everything you said! Blogging is something I never expected to love this much!! And I wasn't even thinking I would make such great friends out of it! So glad that I "met" you through blogging!!!

Hi Tami!
I'm neither military nor mom nor American nor do I blog. I guess I'm the only German following your blog, but sorry, I can't remember how I "found" you. I love your blog and your pictures as I gives me an idea of places/people I never visit/meet. However, if you're ever in the northern part of Germany - there is always a cup of coffee for you!

Hope you're doing well! We're living in NYC for the next few years (Kyles school- no more military for us), come visit! ;)
Love you!

I found your blog one day through Lyndsey Lofland's. I'm not a military wife but my husband does have a job and schedule along those lines. We are currently spending his R&R in Costa Rica before his next deployment. We live our normal lives in Texas with our 2 dogs.

I'm loving keeping up with you and your sweet family! Have a wonderful week.
