Thoughts and What Nots

7.30.2012

Happy Monday friends! I hope everyone had a blessed weekend! We did even though we didn't do a whole lot!

- I think Emerson must secretly read my blog because we had very little hitting going on after my post on Friday. Haha! I do have to be honest though and say that after I posted about it I felt a little bit guilty. I sincerely hope that my post did not come across as me complaining or being negative about my sweet E. I use this blog as a way to document all aspects of parenthood even if it isn't always picture perfect but that doesn't mean I'm any less crazy about my baby girl! :) (Plus I LOVE hearing from all of you moms out there who are going/have gone through something similar!)

- I DID IT!! I finally broke down and bought an embroidery machine. I've had it sitting in my Amazon cart for over a year now so I decided it's finally time. I'm hoping it will be waiting for me when I get home, but in the meantime I'll keep practicing with my Mom's machine! :)

-I bought E a little backpack for our trip home and she loves wearing it. It is just too cute! I do think it gives me a little glimpse of what it will be like when she's heading off to school for the first time.

-I have been staying up way too late every night. I get so busy doing all of the things I want to get done and time just slips away. Every day I promise myself that I'm going to go to bed earlier but it has yet to happen. Oh well! At least I have coffee to keep me going!

-Did you notice my new layout? Every time I looked I at my blog I felt like it looked too busy and cluttered so I decided to switch it over to two columns. I still have quite a few changes I want to make but I *think* I like it so far.  But I'd really love to hear your opinions. Do you like the two column or did you like it better as a 3 column? It's easy to switch back so let me know what you think!

-Speaking of blogs- I am looking for a few guest posters for next week, August 6-10. I don't have any specific topics in mind so you have plenty of room to be creative. Email me at littlemoments2011@gmail.com if you are interested.

-I'm linking up here today.

Embroidery looks fun- what's going to be your first project?

I like the two column layout (for any blog), though I didn't think your three column was bad- there are certainly a lot of blogs out there that hurt the eyes.

I'd be happy to guest post and am looking for a couple of guests on Tuesdays during August, as well.

I love that backpack! I was going to get Alex the Monkey one for our plane trip next weekend. He loves carrying around bags.

That picture of her in the hat and backpack is too cute for words!! What kind of machine did you get? You will LOVE it! I would love to guest post for you and return the favor if you still need some volunteers, just let me know =) Also, I prefer the two column layout, I switched mine a while ago...

Awesome!! What kind of machine did you buy? Also where did you get your monogram font from. I have been looking around for one for my machine!!

I would love to guest post, maybe something about fitness. And I like the 2 column! Easier to read!

Love skip hop packs! And I didn't comment on your last post, but I didn't think you were complaining at all. It actually brought to mind our first very public, very large temper tantrum a few weeks ago that had me hot with embarrassment as people stared in the middle of Target. No worries, it's a fact of motherhood. =)

Love her outfit in the first pictures. You are talking about school my niece that I spend all day with is going to Kindergarten is a few weeks, I have no clue how i am going to handle it since she is like my child(hint see my checking account, lol. We (me and her) went on the actual Hello Kitty site and got a backpack*anything but the best*. I am sad probably just if not more than her mom,LOL. I know my four legged friend will be as well(her cousin)she plays with him, and likes to take him on potty breaks. You mentioned it now, got me thinking again.

I likin' the new layout :)

I'm not sure what I'd post about, but if you need another guest blogger, I can help you out. I won't be offended though if you already have enough scheduled. Just let me know.

Hi! I loved getting caught back up with your blog, I've been without internet for 2 weeks but we are finally up and running. Our house is in Khalifa B, I think about 15-20 min away from your area. We've been to that mall a couple of times at rush hour and it only took 20 mins. When do you come back? We'll have to get together!

Love the 2 columns much better! And don't worry about sharing struggles during mommyhood. I don't feel that it's complaining at all. We need to get support and encouragement from other Mom's!

How cute is she in her little backpack. Yay for you getting an embroidery machine. Her little dress with initials is adorable

I can't wait to see all your projects you whip up! I like the new layout...I always love some clean looking blogs :) Those kids know how to throw us for a loop right? I would totally offer to guest post for you if I knew when this baby was going to get here! I'm like a ticking time bomb, and I have no idea when this little boy is going to make his debut!

What machine did you get??? I too have wanted one for a while. I think it might be my "all big house projects are done" gift to myself ;-) I am too busy now to get one.

And I love the new layout. I've been thinking about switching too. I would like to make my pictures the biggest size possible and that's easier to do with this layout.

And oh my gosh that backpack! Adorable! She'll be wearing one to go to school before you know it!

I like the two column layout better - but it might be worth it to move your posts to the left and sidebar to the right...it's more natural to the eyes since we read right to left.

Seriously... that child's getup.... I DIE. I wish my monogram was cool... it looks like mOm. LOL!! Otherwise I would want everything monogrammed and embroidered.

Those pictures of Emerson on her bike are adorable! They could seriously be on a greeting card! I didn't get to comment on the "fits" post, but Walker does the same thing sometimes. I get nervous and feel sweaty when it happens too! Our preacher mentioned one time in his sermon that when he would get frustrated with his little one he would say to himself "What are you, two?" I've since adopted this mantra with, "What are you, ONE?" and it puts the fits in perspective! You're a great momma!

Your post was honest about your life, not complaining! Like you said, it is nice to know that others have gone through something similar. I love the pics of E on her bike! So sweet!!!!! I hope you get your machine soon.
