Midweek Randoms

7.11.2012

Hey y'all! How about a few randoms for the middle of the week?

-We're currently in Houston visiting my sister-in-law and nieces at their beautiful new house. It's been raining on and off since we got here and I am LOVING it!

-Yesterday Michelle took me to Charming CHARLIE for my first time. Have you ever been? It is amazing!! I got so many cute necklaces and earrings, a few headbands for E, and even a hat for myself. I can't wait to go back.

-A few weeks back I asked for recommendations on a skincare system. I've never had great skin but it has been even worse since E was born. Someone recommended Cetaphil to me and I am amazed at how well it has worked. My skin looked better within in a few days and now it is looking more clear than it has in years. I never would have thought something so simple would work so well.

-Emerson has become obsessed with giving kisses lately. She will walk over and kiss my leg, my hand, or anything else she can find. This morning she was eating breakfast and she reached out her arms for a hug and a kiss. She hugged me for about two minutes and kept patting me and kissing me. Sweet, sweet girl!

-I desperately need a haircut. I haven't had one since October and I have some major split ends. I'm really, really debating on getting long sideswept bangs.  I already have some layers so it would just have to be shaped up a little bit. Maybe something like this?

Thoughts?

Speaking of hair, E is still pulling off her bows like a crazy girl so yesterday I decided to try a little hat on her. Surprisingly she LOVED it and wore it all day. Isn't it precious?
(On the run at Children's Place)

Other than that we don't have a whole lot going on. E and I will be heading back to the desert in just a few short weeks so we are trying to enjoy every second of our time here. I'm also trying to figure out how I can sedate both of us for the 26+hour flight. Just kidding guys. Sort of. :)

I started using cetaphil not too long ago after seeing it on a blog. I really like it, too, and love the smell. The hair ideas look great and I LOVE E's hat!

We have a Charming Charlie also and I love it!! It's so nice and organized, and great jewelry at awesome prices. :) I love all those hairstyles and have tried bangs a few different times in last several years, and every time failed. :( If I could get my hair to look like that I'd be all for it, I hope you have better luck than I did if you go that route. I do love them though!

I LOVE Cetaphil!! I have been using it for over 10 years! I love both of those haircuts..the bangs would look great on you. We're in Houston too and this rain is getting old. It's been raining almost every day for a week or more. I guess it's keeping it cooler outside so I can't complain too much. We were at Charming Charlie yesterday too! LOVE that store! I could spend hours and hours in that place!

I love Reese's hair! I am a big fan of side swept bangs, and have contemplated getting them myself, but they seem like they would be a lot of work and I frankly don't have the energy, ha!

Does the Cetaphil help with oilyness? I don't have much issue with pimples but my skin is soooo oily. especially in the summer. yuck.

E looks adorbs in her hat! They might just be her new thing!

I went to Charming Charlie's once, in Colorado! LOVED it. Though it was a little overwhelming because I wanted everything :)
We use Cetaphil soap and lotion for Callyn w/ her eczema. We tried the samples from the dermatologist and cetaphil worked just as well and is a fraction of the cost. Love it! I remember my grandma always used to use it :)
Wish we would have been in Houston at the same time and could have met up!

The side sweep bangs will look great on you! Unloved the last pic of Reese Witherspoon. If I had straight long hair I would have taken that pic to my stylist! She looks so cute in a hat! Really surprised she kept it on, but good for her!
