A Day at the Museum

7.05.2012

One of my favorite things we did while Mandy was here was take the girls to the children's museum. It's not huge or especially fancy but the girls had such a fun time running around and checking everything out. Of course, we had just as much fun watching them play and interact.
The museum is divided up into a few different sections. The first exhibit was about space. Most of it was too big for the girls but they still liked checking everything out.

The best part of the museum is the miniature town. Our first stop in the town was the victorian house. The girls had a blast in the kitchen.

Our next stop was the grocery store. This was one of my favorite parts of the museum. It was so cute to see Emerson and Ann Elise shopping. They stocked up on lots of sugary treats like cookies and lemonade.

Of course, no shopping trip would be complete without a little picnic. (This happy pic is right before AE fell backwards off of the picnic table. I failed to catch her and I felt terrible! But luckily she was okay and ready to move on to the next place right away...)
We made our way to the vet's office. They have their very own white tiger. He was pretty popular among the visiting doctors.

Ann Elise felt that hugs were the best cure for her tiger friend.

After curing all of the sick animals, the girls decided to do a little news report. This picture seriously cracks me up.
 "Back to you, Ann Elise."
We ended our museum tour with some playtime in the soft play area. The rest of the museum is not very baby friendly so it was a relief to go in this little room and let the girls run wild.

It may not be a big city museum, but it doesn't take much to make the little girls happy! We will definitely be heading back before the summer is over.

I love that museum! We've taken my nephews before and took Lyla when she was super little...not big enough to enjoy it. She loves the children's museum where we live now, and the little one you guys went to has her favorite parts. Glad you had fun!
