Tuesday Tidbits

3.20.2012

I feel like so many of my posts these days are bullet lists full of random stuff. I just don't have a lot worth writing a full post about- so bullet points it is! :)

-Emerson turned 10 months old on Sunday! 10 Months!?! My sweet girl is so close to turning one and she is doing so many new things every day. I'll be posting her 10 months post in the next few days when I can stop crying. I kid. Sort of.

-The weather has been terrible the last two days. It's super dusty and hazy which means we have hardly been outside. But it was very nice over the weekend so we spent a lot of time at the pool in our compound. The water is still pretty cold but Emerson doesn't seem to mind in the slightest!

- I was sick with what felt like the flu on Saturday night and Sunday. Thankfully Emerson was a little angel and Jesse was able to come home an hour early so that I could rest. It definitely reminded me of the terrible morning sickness I had with E and I know there is NO WAY that I could keep up with a toddler while feeling that way. I don't know how people with 2 under 2 do it!

-I bought Turbo Fire right after I had Emerson and I tried one workout and hated it. I thought that the moves were too fast and I just didn't enjoy it. So it's been sitting on the shelf for months now, collecting dust. I've done one of the interval workouts and one of the HIIT workouts but none of the Fire workouts. Yesterday I decided to try one of the Fire workouts again. I can't believe I'm saying this but I.LOVED.IT! It was so much fun and went by so fast. So now I'm thinking about trying to incorporate it in with the BBL.  I found a hybrid calendar and I may try that but I'll probably have to tweak it a little bit. Some days require 80+ minutes of working out and that just isn't going to happen. And while I'm on that note- I didn't work out today. It's a little sad that I have to time to write about working out but I didn't actually work out. What a slacker! :)

-We dog sat an adorable dog over the weekend. Her name is Whisky and she is just the sweetest! She loved Emerson and Emerson loved her right back! Thanks to Whisky, Emerson can now do the baby sign for doggy. She will even do it when she sees a picture of Oscar and Grace. Now I can't wait for her to see them again in person. She is definitely an animal lover already.

-I am so far behind when it comes to current movies, music, and TV shows. I did finally see Bridesmaids and Breaking Dawn. I thought they were both pretty good but not spectacular. Jesse and I are looking for some more movies to watch. Does anyone have any recommendations? We are also up for a good TV series.

I guess I'll stop there since I am probably boring everyone to tears. I hope everyone is well!

My husband and I always watch tv shows together! Weve watched Sopranos, Friday Night Lights, and Big Bang Theory together. I loved Downton Abbey but it wasn't his thing, really.

E is looking so cute and so much like a big girl! Doesn't that just break your heart, and make you smile at the same time? We recently got into White Collar on Netflix. It is so SO good, I think. I have no recommendation on movies because I'm behind too =)

I know this is going to make you cry, but E looks like such a big girl there showing all her teeth! Trust me, I KNOW how you feel - Liam is 10 days away from turning one and it's been an emotional week to say the least.

And some good movies Will and I have seen recently are: Hugo, Moneyball, and I watched Footloose without Will one night and I loved it! He's not into dudes dancing haha - I just don't understand why :)
