the blessed life

How did my week go?
My goal this week was to log all of my food and exercise using My Fitness Pal. I am pumped to say that I completed this goal!! Woot woot! I stayed within my calorie range every day except for one and I'm pretty happy about that. I'm trying to be very careful about ensuring that I get plenty of calories to keep Emerson well fed but also to lose these last few pounds. So far I think the calorie range I've been sticking to has been just right for me. I have also finally caved and joined the Green Monster craze and I have to admit I.am.hooked. They are SO good and so filling. I felt wonderful on the days that I drank them.  I think they are a must in my daily routine now!

I've been using this recipe found from Oh She Glows:

Classic Green Monster

Yield: 1 serving/2 cups
1 cup milk
2 handfuls of spinach
1 tbs flax seed
1/2 tbs peanut butter
ice

1 ripe banana
Blend and enjoy! :)

Workouts This Week:
Sunday- 3 miles (1 mile run followed by .25/.10 run/walk intervals
Monday- 3 miles (1 mile followed by .30/.10 run/walk intervals, Hundred Pushups Week 3 Day 1
Tuesday- Home boot camp workout from Pinterest- Hundred Pushups Week 3 Day 2

Friday-  3 miles (1.5 mile run followed by .30/.10 run walk intervals, Hundred Pushups Week 3 Day 3

Total Miles: 9
Total Workouts: 4

I am very happy with my workouts this week! I'm slowly trying to increase my milage and I think it's been going pretty well. I loved the home bootcamp workout. I did change up a few of the exercises but I followed most of it pretty closely and I thought it was a really great workout. I did each exercise for 1 minute followed by 30 seconds of marching in place. It went by super fast which is always great for a workout. I will definitely do it again!

Weight Loss?
- 2 lbs!!! Yay! Now I do have to say that these are the same two pounds I've gained and lost many times over the last month or two. I'm hoping this next week I can get past that!

Goal for this week:

Drink only water and coffee (no diet coke) I actually started this last week (as I mentioned a few days ago) and I'm hoping to keep it up this week. I don't plan on giving up Diet Coke forever but I just really want to limit it. I also want  to keep up my goals from the last few weeks.

How did you do this week? Link up with Cait and let us know!

I never have heard of this shake and I never would have thought to use those ingredients together. I might have to give it a try

wow, girl!! So impressed by you!! Your workout routines are amazing...all the running is inspiring. The smoothie looks great, but I'm trying to stay away from nuts while breastfeeding since Justin is allergic to them and I've heard limiting in while BF can help cut down the risk for your baby to have the same allergies. It looks and sounds so yummy, though!! So glad you linked up!
