Fitness Friday Week 2

1.14.2012

I've been mostly absent from the blogging world this week. My parents were here for 10 days and we did so many fun things (which I'll be blogging about over the next few days.) Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye last night. I honestly think it gets harder every time! It's so strange because I have lived away from my family for over 10 years and we have been through MANY good-byes. But somehow it is so much harder with Emerson. I hate that it will be so long before my sweet baby girl gets to see her wonderful grandparents. I'm not much of a crier but I definitely shed some tears at the airport last night. I do love our life here but I will be so happy when we are back in the States and our families are a 6 hour flight away instead of 20+ hours. Despite the sad good-bye I am SO very thankful that they were able to come. It was such a wonderful week and I feel so blessed to have spent that time together.

Now- onto the main subject of this post: Fitness Friday!

the blessed life

How did my week go?
My goal for my first week was to complete Week 2 of the Hundred Pushups program. I'm happy to report that I completed this goal.  :)

Workouts This Week:
Monday- Hundred Pushups Week 2 Day 1 (57 pushups)
Wednesday- Hundred Pushups Week 2 Day 2 (71 pushups)
Friday- Hundred Pushups Week 2 Day 3 (81 pushups)

This isn't really much when it comes to working out but at least it's a start. Hopefully this next week will be even better!

Weight Loss?
I didn't lose any weight this week and I am not surprised one bit. I'm actually quite shocked that I didn't gain weight. Let me just say that we took full advantage of all of the delicious food that is available around here. I feel like I gained about 5 lbs but luckily the scale doesn't show it! :) I also finally took my measurements so that I'll something besides weight to gauge my success.

Goal for this week:
Log all food and workouts in My Fitness Pal and run/walk at least 3 times.

I really believe that keeping track of everything I eat is a must for me to be successful at weight loss but I will be the first to admit that it's not easy! I always start off great but then lose momentum by the end of the day. I think My Fitness Pal will help make it a little easier! My username is littlemoments11 if you are interested in being friends there.

I hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend!

yay for reaching your goal! i am so horrible at push ups, unless it's the girly kind, haha. I really want to make it a goal of mine to log my food, do you know of a good app to download for that?

okay...I'm so impressed with the push-ups! Haven't heard of that program. I'm so glad you were able to have so much time with your parents...and just like you, I would have taken full advantage of all that yummy food! I will be adding you on my fitness pal! :) If you get a chance, add your link to my post so that others can find you!
