Sunday 7

9.18.2011

I love to-do lists. There’s just something so satisfying about marking stuff off the list when you get it done. Of course, there are times when my list is a mile long and I don’t mark a single thing off. That’s where the Sunday 7 comes in. I first read about it here and I think it’s a great way to narrow down my goals/to-dos for the week.

The premise is that you choose 7 important areas to focus on for the week. Within each area you pinpoint one goal that you would like to accomplish.

My areas this week are:

1. Faith  -

Read the Bible every day. One of my 101 in 1001 goals was to read the entire Bible. I started off doing really well and made it through several chapters. Then it kind of fell by the wayside. I’m making it my priority to start again this week. I’ve downloaded a daily list and I’m starting TODAY.

2. Family

Find Jesse’s birthday present and find and book a photographer for E’s 6 month photos.

3. Relationships

Respond to all emails/messages in my inbox and email friends/family I haven’t talked to in a while. I’ve been bad about this lately but I’m making it a priority this week.

4. Home-

Finish unpacking all of our stuff and get everything organized and put away. This is a big undertaking so we’ll see if I get it done. I can’t stand all the clutter everywhere- it’s driving me nuts already!

5. Health and Fitness-

Drink a huge bottle of water every day. It’s super hot and dry here and I am just not drinking enough water. I’ve started filling up a giant bottle in the morning and making sure I finish it by the afternoon.

6. Finances

Balance our checkbook.

7. Down Time/Hobbies-

Complete one sewing project. (This all depends on when my sewing machine makes it but I’m hopeful it will be today or tomorrow.) Learn one new thing about my camera and practice using it.

So,  there are my Sunday 7. As you can see, there are a few categories that have more than one thing but I really tried to keep them manageable. I’ll be back next Sunday to let you know how my first week of Sunday 7 goes.

What are your Sunday 7?
