Thank you so much for everything you have done for us over the last 5 months.
From making adorable outfits to putting together baby gear, you have done it all.
I have had such an amazing time just spending time with you. Even the simple things, like going to the grocery store or just sitting and talking, have meant the world to me. Mom- having you in the delivery room was one of the most special moments in my life and it is something that I will never forget.
Emerson is so very lucky to have such amazing grandparents and I am so lucky to have to best parents in the world. You have done so much that thank you is really not enough. We are going to miss you more than words can say and we can’t wait until you come visit us.
We love you!
Tami, Jesse, and Emerson

Here are some of my favorite organization and DIY ideas that I’ve found on Pinterest.
This past weekend, we were lucky enough to fly to North Carolina to visit friends and family. It was Emerson’s first plane trip and she did great! She slept the whole time so it was actually a pretty easy trip. We’re hoping it’s a good indication of how she will be on our long trip overseas.
While we were there, we tried to see as many people as possible. It was so much fun to show off my sweet girl.
We had lunch with some of my very favorite teachers. I worked with all of these ladies when I taught at Camp Lejeune and each of them has had such a great impact on me. I was so excited that Emerson got to meet them.
Emerson also got to meet her cousins, Matthew and Jordan. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a picture of them together!
We got to spend some time with Barb and Gary, Molly and Jarod, Mike and Amy, and Kate and Robbie. It was so awesome to see everyone and it really made us miss North Carolina. Hopefully it will be home again one day soon.
I also go the opportunity to get my hair done by my very favorite stylist! She’s been doing my hair for about 8 years so I really missed her! I’ve had it done a couple of times since we moved but it just wasn’t the same. Of course, I took Emerson along! I can tell she’s going to be a priss because she loved it at the salon, especially when someone told her she was pretty!
Even though it was a quick trip, we had a really great time and we are so glad we got to go.
This Week’s Loss/Gain: +1.6
Total Weight Lost: 25.1
Weight to Go- 10.6 lbs
Food: Since we were out of town this week I did not track points at all. Needless to say, I ate terribly! I was not surprised at all that I had a gain.
Fitness: I didn’t work out at all this week. I guess you could say I fell off the wagon. Haha!
Last Week’s Goals and This Week’s Goals:
-Choose healthy foods when eating out
-Complete Week 3 of Couch to 5k-(maybe- depending on my knee)
Complete Week 2 of 100 Pushups Program
-Maintain weight loss.
I didn’t meet any of these goals last week! Ooops! I’m going to put them down as my goals for this week again. We’ll be traveling again so it’s going to be pretty tough but we’ll see! I plan on rededicating myself to the program and working out once we are settled in our new home.
How did you do? Hopefully better than I did! Link up here!
P.S.- Bye Bye Baby Weight will be posted tomorrow but not until late afternoon. :)

She got this sweet burp cloth and pillowcase dress from my friend Carrie.
Both items have special meaning to us because they show the two types of helicopters that Jesse has flown in. Aren’t they precious?
She also got this sweet bib and these tiny little USMC shoes from my friend Gretchen.
Emerson says thank you girls! Now she is an official USMC baby!
The last two months have been the very happiest of my life. You are such a joy to us and we love every.single.thing about you. There are times when I look at you and I love you so much that I feel like my heart might just burst. I ask myself everyday how I got so lucky to be your Mommy! I sure am blessed. You are growing like a weed but it has been so much fun to see you change and grow. Sometimes when I get you up in the morning I feel as if you grew overnight. I love you and I love your sweet baby smiles. Thank you for making our lives complete!
Your 2 Month Stats:
Length: 21.5 inches- 25th Percentile
Weight: 9 lbs 10 ozs- 25th Percentile
Head Circumference: 15 inches- 25th Percentile
You had your two month doctor’s appointment today and the doctor said you are doing great! You have reached many of the developmental milestones that are normal for a 3-4 month old. I told your doctor that you were our little genius! You also had 3 shots today. You were such a brave girl! You turned beet red and screamed until Daddy rubbed your legs and I gave you a bottle. You stopped crying within 10 seconds and you were smiling a minute later. I think Mommy cried more tears than you did.
You are starting to love bath time (once Mommy found out that she’s supposed to water in the tub). You just lay there so relaxed and you usually get drowsy. You cry when I take you out! We give you a bath before bedtime and it is one of my favorite times with you.
You have started to smile and coo in response to others. It is just the sweetest thing in the world and it melts my heart- especially when you open your mouth and give us a big gummy smile. Sometimes it looks like you are laughing, but no sounds come out yet. You really love to hear that you are pretty and will usually give a big grin when someone compliments you. You also know the sound of my voice and you will turn your head to find me when you hear me. I LOVE it!
You started sleeping through the night right before you turned 6 weeks old. One night I put you to bed at 10:30 and you didn’t wake up until 5:30. It was a shock to Mommy because I didn’t do anything different that day. I thought it was just a fluke but you have continued to sleep at least 8 hours every night. You usually wake up between 5:30-6:00 to eat and then you go back to sleep until around 9:00.
Your Aunt Michelle and cousins got you the Soothing Seahorse and you love it so much. Sometimes I can lay it next to you in your Pack ‘N Play and you will stare at it until you fall asleep.
You are still eating very well. We occasionally give you a bottle of pumped milk but we try not to do it very often because it seems to make you spit up. You usually gulp it down so I think that’s why! When you do get a bottle it’s usually about 3 ounces.
You are starting to like tummy time more but it can be hard to do it very long because you usually roll over right after I put you on your tummy. A few days ago you fell asleep right in the middle of tummy time. It was precious!
You celebrated your first Fourth of July and you wore a cute little bathing suit. You didn’t get to swim just yet, but you sure looked stylish.
Your book this month is Someday by Alison McGhee. It’s all about the wonderful things you will do someday. Just promise Mommy you won’t try to grow up too fast and do all of those things before I’m ready!
You are absolutely beautiful and I tell you how much I love you about a thousand times a day. Thank you for being the very best little girl that Mommy and Daddy could ask for! Happy 2 Month Birthday sweet girl!
