Books, Books, Books-
I was a lazy bum yesterday. I pretty much laid in bed reading the whole day. In fact, I was so lazy that I read TWO books! The first one was a book that I bought for my Kindle when it was on sale for 99 cents. I’ve read one of her books before so I figured it would be a good one. It didn’t disappoint and was definitely worth the 99 cent price tag.

The second one is one I have been meaning to read forever.  Now that the movie is coming out I really wanted to go ahead and read the book. It was cute and I will definitely read her other books.

With as much as I’ve been reading, it looks like I’m going to have to break down and get a library card. I love my Kindle but buying books is breaking the bank! I’ve spent at least $60.00 on Kindle books in the last month.

Getting Crafty
This weekend two of my nieces came over while their Mommy took their oldest sister shopping. My mom watched the little one (she’s 8 weeks old) while the older one and I played.
She loves cutting and gluing so we decided to make a collage from leaves and sticks that she found in the back yard.

After all of that crafting, she needed a snack. Who can resist Thin Mints?

Back to Work (sort of)
I’m excited that I was hired to do a short-term project for an education company. I did it last year and enjoyed it so I was happy that they contacted me with another offer this year. It’s pretty easy work, it’s completely online, and the pay is decent enough. It’s nice to have something to do while I wait for Little Miss E to arrive. The best part- I get to work in my pajamas if I want to. Smile

Wild Weather
Two of my favorite places in the world have experienced some rough weather in the last few weeks.
West Texas, where I grew up and where I’m currently staying, is in a severe drought and has suffered TERRIBLE wildfires. Thousands and thousands of acres have been destroyed and  many homes have been lost.
Then this past weekend Jacksonville, NC, where we lived for 8 years and where many of our friends still live, was hit by several tornadoes. We own a home there but luckily it wasn’t damaged at all. Unfortunately, there are so many others that were not so lucky. One of the base housing areas was badly damaged and several people were injured.

If you think about it, say a prayer for everyone affected by these disasters.

Emily Giffin is one of my favorite authors. Her books are good and such easy reads! I love the collage. I do that a lot when I babysit with kids. Easy project! That's awesome about the job!

Guess I should have read this post before I asked how your weather had been... Not good about the wildfires. I hope you all get rain there soon!

Glad you got a PJ job!! That will definitely make time go by faster!

Do you think you will be able to make a trip to NC before jetting off to the next place? Hope so!

Hope all is well! xo
