It's hard to believe that we've been here for ten weeks! Although it was hard to leave behind our family and friends, and our home in North Carolina, we feel so blessed to have this amazing opportunity. There are so many great things about this place- but I think one of my favorite is our beautiful house. Yes- it's totally different than our house in the States. I guess that's what make it so special. I haven't shared many pictures of the house- so I thought I'd start with a few of the outside.
This is a view of the front porch and the side porch.
This is our driveway, along with a little peek of our neighbor's house. I think it might actually be a mansion...
I haven't been swimming in the lake yet- remember what I said about it being the third deepest lake in the world? It's over 5,000 feet deep so I'm a little hesitant to get in. Who knows what kind of crazy creatures are lurking in there. I do take a dip in the pool occasionally, and of course, we play lots of sand volleyball, while enjoying a few beers. :)
But my absolute favorite thing to do is just lounge around and enjoy the beautiful views.
But, when it was all said and done, we had 18 months worth of groceries unpacked and all of our stuff that really makes this place feel like home.
We're working on getting the house arranged and decorated now- pictures to come soon! We hope everyone is doing well!
If you've visited our blog over the last few days you may have noticed that it is a complete MESS! I'm working on revamping it and should be done in the next few days. So until then- pardon our mess and stay tuned! ;)
